Event overview
Scientific partnerships are the cornerstone of research. Whether they are intra-departmental collaborations or teams across multiple organisations, the utilisation of techniques and expertise across a wide range of scientific disciplines is required for the advancement of drug discovery and the life sciences. Bridging the gap from academic research to industrial applications provides strength to grant applications as well as to an investor or product portfolio. These collaborations provide opportunities which show partnerships as a whole are truly greater than the sum of their parts.
· In this free event, you will hear from colleagues in several talks as they share their personal experience of building professional networks across different sectors – from basic research which is crucial to uncovering new science, to the more applied nature of industry.
· Empower your career with new ways of thinking about your skillset and how it can be used to collaborate with others.
· Early career delegates can take part in a poster session to showcase their research and how collaborations have enabled them to further their field.
· What to look for when applying for roles in new companies and research groups.
· A networking session will follow the talks where you can meet and talk with the experts, as well as forging new contacts with your fellow delegates.
